After the part is de-moulded it goes through an initial inspection prior to trimming.
During the trimming process flashes of resin and excess material are removed from the part to make it hand safe.
Also at this point, with the aid of trim manuals and engineering drawings, holes can be added, slots cut, features incorporated and edges de-burred using air tools.
This element of the process is undertaken in our designated trim room which is fully extracted and houses other essential trim machinery including a downdraft bench, bandsaw and linisher.
Where relevant, dry fitting also takes place to ensure correct fit prior to bonding if the part or assembly requires.
