Luke graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2017 with a First-Class Honours Degree in Motorsport Engineering. Though during his studies his main interests were Powertrain and Aerodynamics, following a year out in industry, a passion for manufacturing soon developed.
Having worked in steel fabrication for almost three years, developing roll cages and spaceframe chassis’, Luke understood that composites was an ever-growing industry so joined Polar at the start of 2019. Day-to-day activities include tooling and jig design, as well as managing the Metrology department, where our Creaform laser scanners regularly provide detailed insight into component and tooling accuracy. A specific focus of Luke’s has been the implantation of additive manufacturing into the workplace, utilising efficient jig designs to reduce both cost and lead time.
Away from work, Luke spends his weekends with his son but also enjoys riding motorcycles and completing DIY projects around the house and garden.
